N’ Delta Agitators Threaten To Cripple Oil Production
A militant group, the Supreme Egbesu Freedom Fighters (SEFF), yesterday, issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to inaugurate the substantive board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The group threatened to shut down and cripple all major flow stations, oil wells and pipelines owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) if the Federal Government failed to inaugurate the substantive board of the NDDC.
The militant group handed down the ultimatum in an electronic mail at the end of an emergency meeting convened by the SEFF’s Commanding Officer; General Agadagba Obus popularly called Thunder.
According to the militant group,” The Trans-Nembe Bonny Creek Crude Pipeline would not be excluded from the coordinated operation.”
The group urged President Muhammadu Buhari to caution the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, and his cronies to order and immediately constitute the board to avert the looming blow on crude oil production.

He continued that he was elated driving with his convoy to Otuan Community, recalling that the last time he visited, it was by boat through Angiama.

He further stated that the government was up-to-date with payments to the contractors and not owing any of them.
Also, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Moses Teibowei, acknowledged that regular supervision of the projects by his ministry has enabled the contractors meet government’s required standard and milestones.
The Business Manager of MCC Group, which is constructing the stadium, Mr. Dagogo Emmanuel, said the company will soon commence the actual construction of the stadium once it finished the ongoing piling work.
He said all the materials for the job were at the site and they were working to achieve substantial milestone before the peak of the rainy season.
