Senator Ake who said this in an interview with newsmen at Odiereke during the 60th birthday celebration of HRM Dr. (Mrs) Felicia Funmilayo Robinson said that the National Assembly is handicapped following the rigid requirements for the creation of new states in the country.
On the demand for the creation of four new states out of the present Rivers State, the Senator said that it is the right of every one to demand for a new state, but noted that the issue before the agitators is whether Rivers State is qualified for four new states.
