NGO Empowers Youths Via Skills Acquisition
A non-governmental organisation, Endless Ideaz has empowered about 100 youths on various skills that would boost their economic independence in the job-scarce society.
The empowerment graduation ceremony held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Amazing Grace Model Parish had graduands empowered in various skills including catering, hat beads making, facial make-over, computer, tailoring, decoration among others.
Speaking at the ceremony, the chairman of the occasion, Engr. Giboyega Ayoade stated that the graduands had been empowered with the skills in order to help them overcome the challenges posed by unemployment in the society.
Engr. Ayoade noted that the youths were privileged of the opportunity adding that a good use of it would enhance their lives both economically and socially for the overall growth of the general society.
According to him “this is a very rare but wonderful opportunity especially to the youths and I believe that by this programme, God is doing something wonderful in your lives to turn your lives around for the better if only you will take advantage of the opportunity”.
Engr. Ayoade averred that every human being is created with a talent which he said would remain inactive unless it is activated.
He maintained that the lack of identification of one’s talent has resulted to the reckless attitudes of youths not only in the state but in the nation as a whole and stressed the need for the identification and activations.
“There is nobody without a talent but the best of all is that one that is deposited in you by God. You need to identify them and put them into action. By that way you will not be associated with miscreants in the society.
Engr. Ayoade revealed that the programme was aimed at harnessing the talents of the people capable of making them becoming self-employed and urged all the unemployed be it graduates, undergraduates and secondary school leaders to take optimum advantage of the Endless Ideaz initiative to better their future.
Earlier, the Director, Endless Ideaz, Mr. Preye Miebai (JP) explained that the programme was the product of his sympathy for the state of unemployed youths in the society.
He said “ I just see the youths laying low, always complaining of no job. I looked at them and said to myself that these youths can be employers themselves and so I decided to help by this programme.
While noting that the ceremony marked their 4th graduation ceremony, Mr. Miebai stated that the organisation would not relent in uplifting the economic status of youths in the state adding that it would soon carry out another training at the Mgbuoshimini area of the state.
The director who commended the abilities of the graduands during the 3 week Skill Acquisition Progrmame expressed hopes that the graduands would soon become their own bosses.
Mr. Miebai further called on all the youths to look beyond the government but into what they have in them and harness them for their economic well-being.
Highlights of the occasion include presentation of certificates, gifts, inspection/exhibition of projects, cutting of cake and others.

The upcoming episode, which is the third in the seventh season, was aired on Sunday, 9th July 2023, and took viewers through Seguns journey from a blind pupil to the neighbourhood mentor who now runs a popular programme, “Reliable Link Tutors”, an after-school centre created to help improve the academic performance of secondary school students.
