It was a day of sober reflection of sorts at the Kingdom Life Gospel Church, Port Harcourt last Sunday, as leaders of the church rose in unison to pour encomiums on the Founder and Presiding Bishop of the church, Bishop Victor Uzosike in commemoration of the Fathers’ Day.
The church leaders who went down memory lane recounted how the church through the instrumentality of Bishop Uzosike, for the past 15 years, had transformed their destinies and given their lives a meaning.
Speaking with The Tide in separate interviews shortly after the Fathers’ Day service, the Chief Protocol Officer of the church, Pastor Emmanuel Nwamara said Bishop Uzosike had played remarkable roles in his life.
Pastor Nwamara who has been worshipping in the church for over seven years said he was able to recover his destiny through the guidance of the Man of God.
“When I came to this town, I did not know where to start but when I came in contact with the Bishop, I was able to recover my destiny,” he said.
On the Fathers’ Day celebration, he said he was happy because he has been fulfilling what God asked him to do.
For Pastor Samuel Elechi, the Youths Pastor of the church, Bishop Uzosike has been his coach and mentor for the over 15 years their path crossed.
“I came into this church 15 years ago as a single but today, by his mentoring, he is not only a father to me, he is a coach. And by the grace of God upon his life, I am married with two kids. It is better than I came,” he declared.
Deacon Emmanuel Ikpe, the Chief Usher of the church said for the past 11 years he encountered Bishop Uzosike, he has been a changed man, as his spiritual life has grown tremendously.
According to him, God has used the presiding Bishop to restore his destiny.
Mrs Patience Npara, the Women President of the church also spoke in the same vein and poignantly commended Bishop Uzosike for supporting her family.
