Etche Seeks Support For Amaechi, Nwuke
The People of Mba-Asa, Ozuzu Clan in Etche Local Government Area, Rivers State say their votes would count for Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, and Hon. Ogbonna Nwuke for Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency at the National Assembly as well as all PDP candidates in the April polls.
The people spoke their mind through their chiefs and Ochimba’s when Ogbonna campaign team visited the clan, Thursday.
In their presentations, the onye Ishi Ozuzu Clan, Eze Monday Amaechi, the Ochimba Elele, Chief Loveday Nwaugha, the Ochimba Umuofuru Ozuzu, Chief Emmanuel Chikezie, Ochimba Isu, Chief I. M. Ordu, Ochimba Orwu, Eze Simeon Nwagbara and Ochimba Egbu community, Chief Wiberforce Amadi thanked Governor Amaechi for the numerous infrastructural projects initiated in the area, noting that the people of the clan have benefited immensely on the development initiative of the present administration in the state.
Ochimba’s acknowledged the good gesture of Amaechi administration to the area, adding that the people would be ungrateful to the governor and PDP in the state if they failed to vote for them during the elections.
They assured Hon. Ogbonna and his campaign team of their total votes for him, Governor Amaechi, and all PDP candidates in the area, saying that the clan is a home for the party.
The people while expressing their optimism that when Hon. Ogbonna and Governor Amaechi are elected into office, they will do more for the development of the area and appealed to the state governor, to recognise the chieftaincy stool
of onye Ishi Agwuru as well as the endorsement of Ozuzu Clan to chair Etche Local Government Council.
The PDP flag bearer for Etche/Omuma federal constituency, Ogbonna Nwuke said he came to thanked the people for their peaceful disposition and support given to the present administration in the state.
According to him the state government appreciate their over whelming support given to it and urged them to sustain the gesture.
He said the support given to the state government enabled it to succeed in its developmental projects in the area, noting that no development can be achieved in an atmosphere of rancour and disorderliness.
He told the people of Ozuzu Clan that time has come for them to pay back the governor for his support to the area.
