Traditional Ruler Harps On Peace In Etche
The traditional ruler of Igbo Agwuru Asa, the Onye Ishi Igbo Agwuru Clan in Etche Local Government of Rivers State. His Royal Highness Eze Samuel Amaechi, has identified peace as an ingredient for community development.
The royal father made the statement when he hosted members if Etche ethnic political elites who paid him a solidarity visit in his palace at Igbo Etche local government area of the state, Sunday, as a mark of support and loyalty to his installation as the paramount ruler of Igbo Agwuru Asa clan by Onye Ishi of Etche, Ochie of Etche land, HRM ENB Opurum, recently.
Eze Amaechi noted that no society can writhers any form of transformation and development in state of pancour and acrimony and urged sons and daughters of Etche ethnic Nationality especially, Igbo clan to embrace peace so that development can thrive in the area. He told the visitors that his major concern would be to ensure rapid development in the area adding that his administration would run an open door government that is people oriented.
The traditional ruler thanked the state governor, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his purposeful leadership in the state especially in the areas of road construction, education, health and infrastructural development in the state.
Speaking during the visit, the leader of the group and a member federal house of representatives representing Etche/Omuma constituency, Hon Ogbonna Nwuke said they were in his palace to congratulate the royal father on his elevation as the Onye Ishi Agwuru of Igbo Agwuru Asa clan and pledged their total support to his throne.
The lawmaker used the opportunity to call on all the faction in the area to embrace peace and work together so as to enable the new menarche to succeed adding everybody in the clan has the sacred duties to contribute to the success of the traditional leadership in the area.
Also speaking, the registrar, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUOC) Rumuolumeni Port Harcourt and the chairman Nsuko Igbo Agwuru Asa, Barr Ikem Adiele thanked the people for the confidence reposed on the choice of HRM Eze Samuel Amaechi as the Paramount ruler of the clan.
Barrister Adiele while congratulating the new monarch over his installation and described him as a humble and tested leader who will usher in the desire development across the clan.
