Ex-NUJ President Extols Late Chief Ndala
The forer National President of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mr Ndagene Akwu has described the demise of Chief Loveday Okonu Ndala as a great loss to Okporowo Ogbakiri and Rivers State at large.
The former NUJ boss who extolled the sterling qualities of the late community leader noted that he left enviable legacies as a retired civil servant who contributed in the service of mankind stressing that his demise had created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.
He advised the family members to take solace in the Lord who giveth and taketh.
Chief Ndala who died in September 2012 at the age of 83 was a retiree of the Rivers State Ministry of commerce and Industry.
A release signed by the first son of the deceased, Mr Kingsley Okonu-Ndala said the funeral events would begin on Friday while interment will take place on Saturday at his compound in Okporowo Ogbakiri, in Emohua Local Government Area.
