RSNC Promises Improved Circulation Of The Tide
The management of the
Rivers State Newspaper Corporation has promised to extend the circulation of The Tide newspaper to Bonny, Degema and to also open more outlets for better service delivery.
The General Manager of the corporation, Mr Celestine Ogolo made the promise last Monday during the 42 anniversary celebration of the corporation in Port Harcourt.
He said the rotary machine expected to arrive soon would bring a turn-around and urged workers to remain committed to their duties.
Mr Ogolo who expressed excitement that inspite of daunting challenges in the media industry that had forced all other state owned newspapers to go moribund, The Tide, against all odds, had continued to move from strength to strength.
At 42, he said “there is every need to reflect and thank God for His mighty works. We have seen the blessings of God both in our private and corporate lives.”
Mr. Ogolo who commended the staff for their commitment and dedication to duties praised the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi and the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari for the massive renovation work in the corporation.
He reiterated the need for workers to remain focused and carry out their official duties deligiently while the management would continue to encourage hardwork.
The general manager stated that indiscipline, truancy, rumour-mongering, and absenteeism would not be tolerated, saying the management would go hard on culprits.
He said issues of training of staff would be improved upon to enable workers acquire skills for better service delivery.
