NUJ Condoles Perm Sec Over Mother’s Death

journalists (NUJ), Rivers State Council has commensurated with one of their member and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ms Kadilo Brown over the death of her mother, Madam Margaret Ibobo Brown Kosu, describing her demise as a colossal loss.
The Chairman of the union, Mr. Opaka Dokubo, who led the delegation and paid her a condolence visit at her residence in Port Harcourt last Thursday said it is proper to condole with one of them at a time like this, who took the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) in the State to the front burner.
Opaka said although most did not know the mother of Ms Brown, but for the fact that she had such a daughter, she must be a virtuous woman, and prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
According to him, she died when her motherly advice was needed most, assuring that as a union, they would like to participate in the burial activities of her late mother.
In her response, Ms Brown thanked members of the union for their concern over the demise of her mother, saying it was a shock and time of sober reflection in her life, and take solace in God that her mother lived a fulfilled life.
Brown promised to be part and parcel of the journalism family whenever she is informed of any activity and also assured to engage them in the burial proper.
