IAUE Reappoints Adiele As Registrar

versity of Education, Rumuolumeni in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State has reappointed Barrister Ikem Adiele as Registrar of the state-owned University of Education for a second term.
In a statement signed by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the university, King Aaron Ikuru, said the council approved Adiele’s reappointment because of his sterling performance in the last five years of his first tenure.
Ikuru said that the renewal of the appointment of the registrar of the unique citadel of learning and second University of Education in the country, for another five years, was based on recommendations of appropriate committees, and would enable the Registrar consolidate on achievements already made in his first tenure.
He said that having reviewed the recommendations, the authorities took the decision to reappoint Adiele at the Governing Council’s 110th regular meeting held February 18, 2016.
Ikuru added that the appointment took effect from March 15, 2016, and would subsist until March 15, 2021.
The Pro-Chancellor, while congratulating the Registrar for the anticipated successful tenure, emphasised that the university authorities would expect him to bring new vigour and vibrancy to the office to serve as motivation to others towards increased productivity and excellent service delivery.
