It was at first released in 1990 and has since become the chief in photo manipulation software by providing advanced software features to on a daily basis users.

It is a great and well-liked image editing software that helps you to apply various effects easily and get reliable results without losing quality of the image. Many people use this software to make a better quality image, because it has several amazing features that are barely available in other photo editing software.

Convert Inches to Pixels in Photoshop

Majority of web designers and newbies love to work by keeping in mind pixels unit for measurements. Incase inches as unit of measurement puzzle you a lot, and then you can make switch to pixels as measurement unit. In Adobe Photoshop settings, you can change unit measurement from inches to pixels for easy measurement visualization while making artistic designs in Photoshop program.

Setting the display on your Photoshop installation is something that can take a while to get just precise. As you use the program more and more, you will stumble on that there are certain elements of the program that you want to change in order to optimize your image editing. If you decide to permanently keep the ruler able to be seen on the screen as part of this customization, you may find that the default inches measurement is not very supportive, and now you wish for to use pixel intervals instead. This is an option that is modifiable in the settings in the program, so you can change the ruler from inches to pixels in Photoshop. The method for doing so consists customizing a menu that you may not use very often, so you can continue reading below to learn how you can change default unit from inches to pixels.

In the Units area of the pane, you find these options:

Rulers:

Select the measurement units that Photoshop uses for rulers. Your unit options are inches, pixels, millimeters, centimeters, points, picas, or percent. The most popular units are inches and millimeters, but if you’re working with publications and specifying in picas, you might prefer that addition instead. If you’re prepping web graphics, you may like better to have your rulers incremented in pixels.

You have several ruler units of measurement to choose from in elements. When the Rulers are observable they can be displayed in units of pixels, inches, centimeters, millimeters, points, picas, or percent.

You can use the rulers to facilitate point a shape or selection or some other object. If you want to measure in pixels but the rulers are set to millimeters you can change them to pixels.

One method to do this is to adjust your options by going up to the Menu bar and opt for Photoshop Elements>Preferences>Units & Rulers…

There you will see a Rulers box where you can click on the drop-down window and choose your ruler unit of measure. Click OK and your rulers will reflect your choice. But there’s a much more efficient way to do that, and that’s what I want to show you with this tip.

The first step is to make your rulers visible if they aren’t already. Go up to the Menu bar and choose View>Rulers (shortcut: Control+Shift+R/Mac:Command+Shift+R).

Type:

Select the measurement used to stand for the dimensions of type. Point size is almost across the world used, but pixels and millimeters are also available. You may want to use pixels if you’re trying to fit type into a specific-sized area of an image.

Width:

The width of the column in inches, centimeters, millimeters, points, or picas.

Gutter:

The width of the area separating columns, also in inches, centimeters, millimeters, points, or picas.

In the New Document Preset Resolutions area, you can set the following:

Print Resolution:

The default is 300 pixels per inch, a good overall print setting to keep. You can change to a new value and use pixels as a unit measurement, if you wish for. This resolution setting affects the Photo, International Paper, and U.S. Paper presets found in the new dialog box.

Screen Resolution:

Generally, 72 pixels per inch work with most images that are prepped for screen viewing. You can select another resolution and use pixels per centimeter, if you like. This resolution setting affects the web, and film and video, presets found in the new dialog box.

Editing the Ruler Settings in Photoshop

If you have been using the ruler as a guide in your image editing and creation, then you know how important it can be when you need to make things equal and correctly sized. But many times the specifications that you get for an image or from a client will have dimensions that are defined in pixels, which make the inches measurement less functional. But with the help of Photoshop without any difficulty you can edit the ruler from inches to pixels to simplify the process of getting your image to those specifications. Again we are going to write the process but in steps.

Step 1: Launch Adobe Photoshop.

Step 2: Click Edit at the top of the window.

Step 3: Click Preferences, then click Units & Rulers.

Step 4: Click the drop-down option to the right side of Rulers, then click the option pixels.

Step 5: Click the OK button at the top-right corner of the window to apply your change.

The next time you open an image, the ruler will be displaying space as pixel units instead of inches.

Working with Units & Rulers

Quality of an image is not affected with these measurable units and rulers, they just help to calculate data in a document consistent with the specific output device. Rulers and Units give you accurate information on the width and height of the active document. The New Document Preset Resolutions area permits you select specific resolution values when creating new documents. Add the values you’ll use a lot in the making of a new Photoshop document.

She noted that since coming on stream in November 2005, Bonga has maintained a track record of production that saw it achieve one-billion-barrel export on February 13, last year.
In her presentation, titled “The Bonga Journey to a Billion Barrels”, at the ongoing 2024 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas, United States, Aiboni, said: “SNEPCo is grateful for the contributions of all the parties to the Bonga story and we can all be proud of the milestones.

Banks Cut Borrowing From CBN By 44%

Published

on

Banks’ borrowings from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) fell month-on-month, (MoM) by 44 percent to N12.16 trillion in April from N21.7 trillion in March.
Analysis of latest data from the CBN shows that the 44percent drop represents the first MoM decline in banks borrowing from since January when it increased by 268.7 percent to N3.6 trillion from N976.29 billion in December 2023.
However, further analysis showed that banks’ deposits in the CBN SDF grew MoM by 118.4 percent to N428.97 billion in April from N196.37 billion in March 2024.
Banks make use of the SLF to access liquidity to run their day-to-day business operations while the Standing Deposit Facility window (SDF) on the other hand, is an overnight deposit facility that allows banks to lodge excess liquidity (money) with the CBN and earn interest.
The decline in banks’ borrowing from SLF may reflect an increase in banking system liquidity and also the decision of the apex bank last year to remove the limit on the remunerable daily placements by banks at the SDF.
According to the CBN Governor, Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, the CBN removed the cap on the remunerable SDF to increase activity in the SDF window and manage liquidity.
