Group Seeks Support For Wike

Rivers people have been advised to pray for the peace of the state and the political progress of the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, if the dreams of the founding fathers of the state must be realized.
Senator George Sekibo made the appeal when members of the Board of Trustees and National Executive of the Nyesom Wike for Positive Change paid him a courtesy call in his residence in Port Harcourt, last Monday.
Sekibo said that recent developments around elections in Rivers State had revealed a kind of desperation that only God could address, and urged Rivers people not to be intimidated as the will of the people would always prevail.
Accordingly to him, all Rivers people must embrace the Wike Revolution that the new group represents in the state, because only Wike could actualise the true dream of the Rivers people.
He urged all the political groups under the Wike Campaign Organization to learn to play politics in a different and more pragmatic way, and assist Rivers people come to the right decision that would take the state to the next level.
Earlier, the Director General of the Wike For Positive Change Organisation, Prof. Atuboyedia Obianime, had said that they were on the courtesy call to intimate the distinguished Senator, who is also a patron of the organization, of the activities of the organization.
He said the organization had been on a rural, unit-to-unit political evangelism that aims at encouraging Rivers people to prepare for the next elections.
He thanked the senator for the visionary advice, as one of the founding fathers of the organization, and urged members to take seriously the advice of the senator so they could become stars even as they develop strategies for victory.
Obianime said Wike for Positive Change was a supportive political platform for the actualization of the development of Rivers State through the vision of Governor Nyesom Wike.
