Cleric Lauds Wike On Nsirim’s Appointment As Information Commissioner
Prominent Christian cleric, Apostle Zilly Aggrey, has commended Governor Nyesom Wike for appointing a seasoned journalist, Paulinus Nsirim, as the Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications.
Aggrey, who is the General Overseer of Royal House of Grace International, based in Port Harcourt, gave the commendation when he appeared as guest on a live radio programme in the State capital monitored by The Tide.
He expressed the hope that the appointment of Pastor Nsirim whom he described as a professional journalist will translate to more government attention to the plight of Rivers State owned media organisations.
“For Radio Rivers (Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation) being our premier FM Radio Station in this part of the world in the name of Jesus, I pray that this year will be one of the best years of Radio Rivers. The staff, the management will find favour before the dynamic government and Governor that is ruling this State today.
“That before the end of 2020, most of the desires and needs of Radio Rivers will be met with Pastor Paulinus Nsirim as Commissioner for Information”, Aggrey stated.
The cleric said Jesus Christ was the panacea to the challenges facing humanity and urged sinners to embrace Him to escape eternal damnation, just as he charged youths to channel their energy to positive ventures so as to contribute meaningfully to the social-economic development of society.
Apostle Aggrey urged youths to emulate leaders with consistent track records of achievement and impeccable character, warning against idolising some ‘prominent individuals’ without bothering to know their backgrounds.
According to him, “The purpose of God remains the same, apply them. So this year, study the Bible, find out the principles of God, deliberately engage them and you will see results”.
