We’ve Fulfilled Our Promise To Uju People – LG Boss
Chairman Ogba/Egbema/ Ndoni Local Government Area, Mr Vincent Job, has presented sixty bundles of Cameroon roofing sheets and accessories to Uju community in Igburu clan of the local government.
Handing over the items to the leadership of the community, the chairman said the gesture was in fulfillment of his promise to them during his working visit to the community in September this year.
He enjoined the people to use the items for the purpose they were procured, warning against abuse of the gesture.
He called on the youths to eschew violence and other unwholesome practices, capable of bringing disunity among them and also appealed to elders to stop fanning embers of discord amongst the people.
Receiving the items, Paramount Ruler of Uju Community, Eze Christopher Ifeanyi Amanah thanked the Chairman for the gesture, describing him as a man of his words.
He assured him of the community’s resolve to remain in peace and harmony, adding that the entire community while guarding the items jealously remains eternally grateful to God for bringing a visionary leader such as Vincent Job to the rescue of Uju people.
Also speaking Chairman Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 7 who is also a native of Uju community, Oba Oluogbata expressed deep appreciation to the Chairman of the LGA for fulfilling his promise of rebuilding Uju community.
According to him, this is the first time a public office holder is promising and fulfilling almost immediately.
He described Hon. Vincent Job as a rare breed who has distinguished himself by his style of leadership and developmental strides within a short period on assumption of office and appealed to multinationals, development partners, and interventionists’ agencies to emulate the Chairman, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area
It will be recalled that Uju community is one of the worst hit communities in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area in the 2014 – 2018 crisis.
