NDBDA Increases Internal Revenue Generation
The Director of Agricultural Services in Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA), Dr. Embiowei Summerset, has revealed that the organisation’s internally generated revenue has increased from N15 million to over N66 million within a year.
Summerset made this known while briefing journalists at the weekend in Port Harcourt, as he described the Managing Director of NDBDA, Engr Derefaka Mark, as a man of vision, whose achievements were enormous.
“Honestly, Engr Mark-led board has recounted numerous achievements in the first one year in office. He has also pledged to do more in the remaining part of his tenure to reposition and rebrand the organisation through good service delivery.
“His administration has sky rocketed the internally generated revenue to over N66 million against N15 million when he came on board. Since we came on board, a lot of progress has been made in responding to our specific mandate given to us by the Federal Government” he said.
According to him, the board of NDBDA is working towards the realisation of its target.
Mark explained that the mandate given to them by Federal Government was to create employment opportunities, diversify the economy from petroleum, secure food and empower the youth, a reason for which he said NDBDA has earmarked three cardinal projects to meet up the mandate, as they have started farms in Rivers and Bayelsa States.
