Every Man Deserves A Reward After A Satisfactory Service -Bishop Ordu …As the 2022 Diocesan Discipleship Conference kicks off
The Diocese of Evo four-day, 2022 Discipleship/Revival Conference kicked off on Wednesday November 16, 2022, at St Jude’s Anglican Church, Oginigba Deanery, with the Bishop, the Rt. Rev Innocent Uchechukwu Ordu, declaring that every man or woman deserves a reward after a satisfactory service to God Almighty.
In his exposition on the theme of the conference,”The Believer’s Prize Giving Day”, the Bishop said the theme was apt because the Diocesan theme for this year is “Serve Heartily as Unto the Lord.”
Taking his text from Mathew 19:26 – 29, the Bishop stated that it was a necessity that one who has forsaken all that would have profited him to serve God would gain a prize or reward from the Almighty God.
He urged all Diocesan faithful to commit their time and resources into bringing honour to God’s name and advancement of God’s Kingdom
“A day will come for the grand award, the prize giving day, and on that day, all those who served God diligently will be openly rewarded,” he said.
Furthermore, the Bishop noted that prizes will be given to us in accordance with our works and service which includes soul wining, humble service, faithfulness in little service, among others.
According to him, other criteria are that prizes will be given to people who have suffered and endured for Christ, reward for obedience, life of righteousness and reward for those who overcome.
To end the exposition, the Bishop called for altar call and many responded to give their lives to Christ.
It was indeed a glorious time in the presence of God as praise, worship and prayer sessions interspersed various expositions.
The conference continues on Thursday, 17th November 2022 and would end on Saturday 19th November 2022.
