UBE Chairman Hails Wike Over Road Infrastructure, Others
The Executive Chairman, Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board (RSUBEB), Ven.Fyneface Akah, has commended Governor Nyesom Wike for the infrastructural development and urban renewal projects in the State.
Akah said the people owe Governor Wike eternal gratitude for the recent commissioning of Eneka internal roads and other world class infrastructural projects executed by his administration and the government of Rivers State.
Akah made this assertion while exchanging views with newsmen during the commissioning of the Phase 1 of Eneka internal roads by Governor Wike, recently.
The UBE Board Chairman hinted that nine months ago when the road was awarded, the Governor promised to commission it in no record time, saying, the people are extremely pleased seeing the governor come to fulfill his promise.
“Nine months ago, Governor Wike made a promise to us; today, it gladdens our hearts that he has come to fulfill it. There is a way a man has to prove his commitment to his people in governance and you would know that there is a ray of hope for the people.
Ordinarily, it gladdens the heart of everyone .I ’m particularly happy for what Governor Wike has done for us. Anyone who knows the state of the road before now, will agree with us that Governor Wike has no equals in provision of social infrastructure as well as governance in general.
In the middle ages, when our people settled here, this road had never been an easy ride until Governor Wike came to rescue us .As a people, we lack words to thank him.
If a government or governor came at a time in our history and got this accomplished within nine months as a gift of social infrastructure, as a people, we owe him eternal thanksgiving under Christ,” he said.
He noted that the people of Eneka and Rivers State will remain supportive of his administration and pray for a successful transition ,hoping that the next administration will continue and consolidate on his wonderful achievements, and urged the people to protect government projects in their localities to attract more .
