RSSSSB Boss Hails Fubara Over Supreme Court Victory
The Acting Chairman and Director of Administration of Rivers State Senior Secondary Schools Board (RSSSSB), Elder Nwogu Godpower Ikechi and workers of the board, yesterday, joined millions of well-meaning Rivers people and Nigerians to rejoice and celebrate the judgment of the Supreme Court, which declared the State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara as the duly elected Governor of the State.
In a swift reaction to the Governor’s resounding victory at the Supreme Court, Elder Ikechi hailed Governor Fubara, whom he described as amiable and enviable; and his Deputy, Prof Ngozi Odu for the victory.
The RSSSSB boss further indicated that staffers of the board are highly elated over the outcome of the Supreme Court suit filed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 18, 2023 governorship election, Arch Tonye Cole, contending that “our message of goodwill to the Governor over this victory is wrapped in a form of a swallowable capsule captioned, “ We have not seen it like this before”.
Elder Ikechi on behalf of the staffers applauded Governor Fubara for the implementation of the long overdue promotions of workers of the board that had lasted for more than 12 years; and the payment of N100,000 Christmas bonus to all civil servants in the State, which he said has not been seen in any state of the federation.
The RSSSSB Chairman equally commended the Governor for the recent elevation of six staff of the board to the post of Permanent Secretaries in the State.
“We lack words to express our gratitude to you over these gestures that our Governor has shown to a profession that had been relegated to the background over the years,” he said.
He further noted that following the good steps Governor Fubara has taken so far, the workers are convinced that his wealth of experience as a former Accountant General of the State would impact positively and bring massive transformation in the state, and assured him of their unalloyed prayers and support.
