Group Hails Fubara Over Peace Award
A political pressure group, in Rivers State, National Development Initiative Forum (NDIF), has felicitated the Rivers State Governor, Sir Simialayi Fubara over the pioneer peace Advocate Award conferred on him, by the Silverbird group, describing it as an honour well deserved.
The group which said this at a press conference in Port Harcourt said Governor Siminalaye Fubara since assumption of office has attracted so much goodwill not only to himself but to the state through his peaceful disposition.
It also said that Governor Fubara has done so much towards improving the conditions of Rivers people.
National Chairman of NDIF, Comrade Gold Monday who spoke to newsmen during the briefing said Governor. Fubara has returned peace and love to the state adding that the enviable developmental plans of his administration has rekindled the hope of Rivers people.
The group also used the occasion to congratulate the Governor on his recent Supreme Court victory.
“Congratulations on your well-deserved honour as the Pioneer Peace Advocate, congratulations on the ultimate legitimacy seal by the supreme court to your gubernitorial electoral victory and happy birthday to your Excellency.
“It has been continuous celebrations since you took over the mantle of leadership.
. “ civil servants are celebrating an end to over eight years of stagnation without promotions and other entitlements, hope of employment to thousands of our youths has risen. You are indeed the pride of our dear River State”, he said.
He expressed hope that the developmental action plan of the Governor on agriculture, education and the development of new cities would go along way in transforming the state.
According to group the age-long one city status has remained the major obstacle to the rapid development of the state despite its huge resources.
Gold noted that well meaning Rivers people, the youths , traders , women , civil servants and responsible political leaders are strongly in support of the administration of Governor Fubara and advised him not to be distracted by the few enemies of the state.
He assured that the group will continue to support the governor to enable him actualize his developmental programms for the state.
