He gave the assurance during an empowerment scheme and distribution of palliatives by the Caretaker Chairman of Port Harcourt City Local Government, Ezebunwo Ichemati, at the weekend.

Commending Ichemati for coming up with a unique scheme as this, he said those given leadership at the grassroots must meet the challenges of the grassroots.
In the words of the Governor, “We have seen elected chairmen who have stayed for three to six years but have not achieved anything like this”.

Amadi urged those who benefited from the scheme to be steadfast, while enjoining others to continue their support, saying that this is the beginning of good things that will spread across the 18 Wards of the LGA.
Also speaking, Special Adviser to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Aminasia Fiberesima, said the gesture displayed by the CTC Chairman is confirmation that the LGA is in total support of Fubara’s administration.
Former Chairman of PHALGA, Hon. Sunny Wokero, said the caretaker chairman has proven that he has vision and the people at heart: “What we are witnessing today is unprecedented and I want the chairman to sustain the tempo”, he added.

“It’s part of the charge given to us by the Governor to cushion the effect of the economic hardship and improve the lives of the grassroots”, he said.
