Nwanosike Assures Council Workers On Improved Welfare
The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Engr. Samuel Nwanosike has assured the staff of the council on improved welfare package to better their lives.
He stated that it is towards the he approved the payment of allowances owed health workers of the council.
The council boss made this known recently during the official flag-off of the construction of a new Ikwerre Council Secretariat complex and the remodelling of the perimter fencing of the entire Council at Isiokpo, .
Accompanied by the leader of the Council, Hon Nwobuisi Taise, Councillors and Traditional rulers from the 13 Wards in the LGA, Nwanosike said the project would be completed in six months as it would give the Council a facelift.
While stating that part of the project is the rebranding of a new Council main gate, he said politicians do not have any business in politics, if they fail to keep to their campaign promises.
“You do not have a business in politics, if you are not a promise keeper to your people”, he said.
Describing the Council as the pride of other LGAs in the state, Nwanosike said the construction of the new council Secretariat was one of his campaign promises
“We have resolved that this administration will construct new secretariat complex for Ikwerre people and renovate the old complex”, he said, adding that he stet a social contract with ikwerre people to provide basic necessities of life if voted into office.
