History was made recently in Emohua Kingdom, Rivers State, as the people of the area witnessed a rare celebration  following the historic visit of Go Round Community Worldwide to the Paramount Ruler of Emohua Kingdom, Ohna, Sir Sergeant Awuse, Olo  IV , Nneweli  Emohua XII in his palace at Rumuche-Emohua.
Speaking at the well attended event, the founder and leader of the Go Round Community, Bro. Felix Obuah stated that the purpose of their visit was to give honour to whom honour  is due  and to felicitate with their political leader and mentor, over his divine emergence as the new first class traditional ruler of Emohua Clan.
Obuah, who was the former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rivers State, also noted that their visit was to commend Ohna Awuse for his selfless contributions to the peace and harmony in the community, which made their visit to the Kingdom possible.
The former Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) boss explained that Go Round Community is a universal association of people with like minds, who believe in oneness, peace, equity and justice as well as love for one another, which the present administration of Governor Nyesom Wike also upholds.
He lauded the Governor for the recognition the state government accorded Ohna Awuse as the new first class traditional ruler of Emohua Kingdom.
He described Awuse as a dogged fighter and one of the leading political gladiators in Nigeria.
Responding, Ohna Awuse, who could not conceal his joy for the unique visit, show of love, solidarity and goodwill towards him by the Go Round Community, said, “this is one of the happiest moments of my life, today is like the beginning of my reign. I expected a simple courtesy call and not this large crowd of well meaning people from within and  outside the State and beyond for which l am highly grateful and honoured.
“Go Round Community has not only shown love and friendship towards me as a person, but to the entire good people of Emohua Community. This historic visit has revived the age long peaceful co-existence between the Ogba and Ikwerre ethnic nationalities of Rivers State”, he said.
According to Ohna Awuse, “Go Round Community is worthy of the name as their credo, Ibiri mey biri which literally means when you live, I live  is an eloquent testimony of their love and oneness. I am indeed glad with your community of like minds. I am delighted that one of my sons is your member. I will encourage the rest to also join you”,  he said.
The EMOLGA monarch disclosed that he was once a politician, but if people today say he is still a politician, he is comfortable with that. “Once a soldier, always a soldier. Our party, the PDP is a grassroot party, our governorship candidate in the 2023 election, Siminalayi Joseph Fubura  is the Rivers State Governor in waiting. We thank Governor Nyesom Wike and the PDP leadership in the State for giving all the governorship  aspirants a level playing field to contest, therefore, the emergence of Fubara is a divine mandate we shall all support him”,he declared.
Awuse further thanked Governor Wike  for giving Rivers people the opportunity to reap the benefits of this present democratic dispensation in the State. “ Our Governor is a good man and God fearing, he planted this fruitful tree from which all of us are reaping today. We shall continue to pray for him and encourage him to do more, wherever he goes, there we shall all go”, he stated.
