Importation: NMGs Plan Pact To Bail Nigeria
Nigerian Mining and Geo Sciences Society (NMGS) says it intends to collaborate with other stakeholders to bail the country out of its dependence on importation.
This is despite different policies and options adopted by government on several industrial ingredients.
Newly installed president of the society, Anthony Azubuike Elueze, gave the assurance in his inaugural speech after his decoration as the 25th president of the society, held at the Trenchard Hall of the University of Ibadan and attended by members from all over the country, the new president lamented what he called high dependence of the country on importation.
He pledged that the society would support its members in collaborating with bodies such as the Raw Materials Research Development Council (RMRDC), Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshock (FIIRO) among others on the processing, blending and benefication of industrial raw materials.
