Perm Sec Harps On Dedication To Duty
The Permanent Secretary, of the Ministry of Information and Communications, Ms. Kadilo Brown, has called on the staff of the ministry to be disciplined and dedicated to their duties.
Speaking during her inaugural meeting with the staff, she advised them to be regular at work at all times, avoid lateness and absenteeism and stressed the need for the speedy delivery of their official functions.
Mrs. Kadilo Brown who said she would operate an open door policy, appealed to the staff to conduct themselves in a manner that would benefit the ministry.
The Permanent Secretary also declared that every staff of the ministry should be computer literate by January 2012. According to her, the staff should sit up and motivate themselves by learning how to use the computer as it is sine qua non to their duties as communicators.
She therefore advised the staff to avail themselves of ICT service in the ministry .
. On the welfare of the staff, she promised that smiles would be put on their faces considering the available resources of the ministry.
She solicited the co-operation of the staff and promised that they would be carried along in the scheme of things.
In his vote of thanks, the Director of Administration in the ministry, Mr. Godwill S. C. Onyeche assured the Permanent Secretary of the total co-operation of the staff.
