NUJ Honours Fallen Colleagues ‘Morrow
The Rivers State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), will hold a night of tributes and service of songs in honour of their two departed colleagues, Ms Kpeseme Opuwari and Mr. George Onah, of Rivers State Television Chapel and federal correspondents chapel, respectively, tomorrow.
A press release signed by the Assistant Secretary of the NUJ, Mr. Udede Jim-Opiki indicates that the service of songs would hold at the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Consulate by 6.pm on the stated date.
The union while consumerating with the both families over the demise of their colleagues noted that Ms Kpeseme Opuwari and George Onah contributed immensely to the cause of journalism profession in the state.
The statement urged the bereaved families and chapel members to take solace in the Lord and prayed the Almighty God to grant the departed colleagues eternal rest.
