Music: Big Mozy Bounces Back With Eclipse
After few years of miss
ing in action in the music industry, Port Harcourt-based popular music star and cofounder of the defunct stone cold group, Moses “Big Mozy”, Mabadeje, has bounced back to the industry with a new album titled Eclipse, the album is expected to hit the market with full force soon.
Big Mozy, as he is popularly known, who is the current 1st vice president of Performing Musicians Employees Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Rivers State chapter in an interview with The Tide Entertainment said the new album will not only take the industry by storm, but re-launch is music career.
The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) graduate of Human Kinetics (Physical and Health Education) stated that music is a childhood talent and he has been in the music industry for the past two decades with many albums and singles to his credit.
The vasertile musician explained that his escapades in music took hin to Lagos where they formed a group titled ‘Down to Earth’, before he relocated to Port Harcourt two years later and formed a three-man music group called ‘Stone Cold’ with himself, Peter and Joe.
He reiterated that the group in 2000 released its debut album titled “Port Harcourt”, two years later, they came out with two albums titled. “Face Fear Face” and “Landlord Travel and See”. These songs he said made the group very popular and were well patronized in Rivers State and beyond.
According to him, it was at this peak that the group disintegrated and agreed to drop the name of the group, but one of them, Peter continued to use the name, this is why he is popularly known today as, “Peter Stone Cold. He disclosed both himself and Joe joined radio broadcasting, while he joined 99.1 FM Port Harcourt, Joe gained employment with Ray Power, Abuja.
The popular artiste, who plays all genres of music said music is all about creativity and not vulgarity. He called on upcoming artistes to be original in order to gain respect, recognition and patronage. He condemned some of the lyrics and music videos of most modern musicians which he said are not only vulgar but promotes immorality in the society.
The PMAN top shot lauded the warring factions in PMAN for resolving their differences and their resolve to give peace a chance. He said now that peace has returned to the association, all hands must be on deck to rebrand PMAN and give it a right of place in the Nigerian music industry.
Popular businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, aka Cubana Chief Priest, has said that his relationship with singer Davido is beyond money and gossip.
He stated this in a recent interview with BBC Igbo.
“Davido is my friend. He is my in-law; he married Chioma who is from Imo State where I hail from.
“So the relationship I have with Davido is beyond money and gossip,” he said.
DAILY POST reports that Chief Priest disclosed via his Instagram page that his outfit for the wedding of the singer, Davido and his wife, Chioma, in Lagos on Tuesday cost seven million Naira.
The socialite recently appreciated Davido for not “discarding” Chioma.
He stated that the DMW boss has made Imo State proud by choosing to marry from the state.

Famous Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Davido was spotted among other top artistes at Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ tour concert in Atlanta, Georgia.
Asake’s performance at his sold-out show at the 17,000-capacity State Farm Arena in Atlanta began on August 16, 2024, and is set to run for 10 days.
In a trending video on social media, Davido appeared backstage with American rapper Quavo to support Asake during the live performance.
Other musicians in attendance included Nigerian hitmaker Zlatan and American rapper Russ Millions.
The Tide’s source reports that Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ tour is set to cover six U.S. cities, where he will headline notable venues including Madison Square Garden in New York, the Toyota Center in Houston, and the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Asake’s tour comes just days after the release of his latest hit, ‘Lungu Boy,’ which features several superstars, including Wizkid, British rappers Central Cee and Stormzy, Travis Scott and Brazilian singer Ludmilla.
‘Lungu Boy’ set a new record for the biggest opening week on Spotify Nigeria, garnering 18.9 million streams in its opening week and breaking the previous record of 14.4 million streams held by Davido’s ‘Timeless.’
