Evo Kingdom Gets New Monarch
The people of Evo King
dom in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area have been charged to have faith in themselves, and close ranks to transform the area into an enviable and prosperous land.
The new monarch, Eze Leslie Nyebuchi Eke made the call while addressing the Evo council of traditional rulers and chiefs after his coronation and presention as the Eze Oha Evo the third of Evo Kingdom at Woji, the traditional headquarters of Evo Kingdom.
Eze Eke who said leadership is a collective responsibility stressed that his administration would be open to useful suggestions and thanked the Evo council of traditional rulers for finding him worthy for the exalted position.
In his speech, the chairman of Oro Evo Council of traditional rulers and chiefs, Eze Temple Ejekwu said the coronation/presentation of Eze Leslie Nyebuchi as the Evo Oha Evo the 3rd of Evo Kingdom was done in full compliance with the customs and tradition of Evo people and commended the council for the choice.
Also specking, the Igwa Oha one of Oro Evo and paramount ruler of Oginigba, Eze G. B. Odum said the Oro Evo council of traditional rulers and chiefs is the only authentic body empowered to coronate the monarch of the Kingdom.
Other Ezes, Elders and Chiefs who spoke at the coronation, admonished the new Eze Oha Evo III to remain steadfast in discharging the expectations of the people.
The ceremony was attended by over 30 traditional rulers, Chiefs and Elders from the entire Oro Evo Kingdom.
They included Eze Sonny Weli, Eze Omenma I of Oro-Potoma, Eze (Capt) Dan Okene, Eze Odum Obochi II Paramount ruler of Rumuobochi, Eze Samuel N. Ejims-Wopara (JP), Eze Ize-Agwu II and Paramount ruler, Rumuobiakani and Chief Temple Ndamati, Eze Chinwooh representing the Eze S. N. Arisa {Nyeweli Rumuodomaya}.
In the mean time, the Oro Eke Royal family of Woji Community in Obio-Akpor Local Government has sent a message of congratulation to one of its sons, Eze Leslie Nyebuchi Eke on his coronation and presentation as the Eze Oha Evo the third of Evo Kingdom.

Doctor Las Eke and the Eze Kwesiri one of Woji Chairman Eke Royal family, Chief Joseph Eke describe the choice of Eze Leslie Nyebuchi Eke for the highest traditional stool in Evo Kingdom as a fulfilment of the tradition and customs of Evo people.
The thanked all the traditional rulers, chiefs elders of Evo Kingdom for their high sense of judgement and the choice of Eze Leslie Nyebuchi Eke as the Eze Oha Evo the third.
