Monarch Tasks Wakirike People On Dev
The Amanyanabo of Obumuton Chiri in Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers State, King Darrick Acheseomie, has urged the people of Wakirikese Kingdom to work towards the development of the Kingdom holistically.
He stated that the growth and development of Wakirike se is in the hands of every indigene of the area.
Acheseomie said this at the weekend, when Wakirike Practising Journalists Forum (WPJF) paid him a courtesy visit in his palace in Port Harcourt.
According to him, one of the major reasons why Wakirikese is not developing as expected is because there is no love and unity in the Kingdom.
“Our problem is that we don’t love one another, development can only come when there is love, unity and peace.
Apart from that, the Wakirike man does not help his or her fellow Wakirike person, that is why it seems we no longer have direction”, he said.
Earlier, the Chairman of WPJF, Miebaka F. Amadi, assured the monarch that the organisation will do its best to develop the Wakirike se through developmental journalism.
He stated that the group does not have any political affiliation.
“We, the WPJF, will do our best to ensure there is development in Wakirike se, through effective publicity of all Wakirike se activities,” Amadi said.
He thanked the Amanyanabo for the visit.
