Former DPP Governorship Candidate Endorses Job
As the electorate in the State goes to the poll this Saturday to elect new leaders to pilot their affairs at the local government level, a public relations expert and the governorship candidate of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) in the 2019 elections in the state, Mr Emmanuel Nwabrije has re-echoed his support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate for Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA), Hon Vincent Job, insisting that “he is the ideal man for the job”.
Speaking exclusively to The Tide in Port Harcourt at the weekend, Nwabrije, now a PDP chieftain, said Job’s antecedents and the tumultuous crowd that throngs his campaign venue were a testimony to his unique leadership capability and political sagacity.
He pointed out that throughout the political history of ONELGA; no political party candidate had garnered the kind of support the PDP candidate has, adding that his support base cuts across all political divides in the area.
Nwabrije hinted that the mammoth crowd that welcome Job’s campaign train and the swarm of decampees since the flag-off of the campaign are our evidence of PDP’s achievement and the candidate’s popularity among the populace.
The PDP chieftain said though the election was coming at a time the country was “passing through difficult and austere times worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic under the bad leadership of the Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC), Job possesses the driving vision of where ONELGA people are, where they should be headed and why.”
Explaining further why Job is the candidate to beat at the poll, Nwabrije said the party’s standard bearer had diagnosed the problems of the ONELGA people, and would speedily adopt a suitable approach towards their solution.
He expressed implicit confidence in Job’s ability to build a truly secure and prosperous local government with boundless opportunities for everyone who lives in it to peacefully pursue their goals and realise their potentials in dignity and happiness in line with Governor Nyesom Wike’s New Vision.
Appraising the antecedents of the PDP standard bearer, Nwabrije described him as a veteran task master, grassroot politician, and turn-around manager who will bring his wealth of experience to bear on the administration of the council to the maximum benefit of the people.
He appealed to the electorate to vote massively for Job at the poll, assuring that he will galvanise the area to greater height if given the mandate.
