Ex-Perm Sec Carpets Dakuku Over Comments On Wike
A former Permanent Secretary in Rivers State, Chief Mike Elechi, has taken the former Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) to the cleaners over his negative comments on Governor Nyesom Wike.
Speaking with newsmen, Chief Elechi said both Dakuku and his co-travellers in the All Progressives Congress (APC) should thank Governor Wike for completing projects abandoned by them.
“If Dr Peter Odili, former Governor of Rivers State and a man who set up the foundation of democracy in Rivers State can boldly described Governor Wike as the best Governor Rivers State has ever produced, who is Dakuku.”
“If Odili whom all of us including Dakuku and Amaechi served can say Governor Wike performed better than himself, then Dakuku should hide his face in shame,” he said.
Elechi said Dr Odili testimony speaks volume about Governor Wike’s milestone in Rivers State.
“I worked with Dakuku when he was Commissioner for Works; most of the projects we midwifed were abandoned. Governor Wike came completed them and initiated numerous peoples oriented projects,” stressing Wike deserves commendations not condemnations.
The elder statesman urged Governor Wike to continue with his good works for the overall development of Rivers State.
According to him, those he described as Abuja politicians need to face reality and embrace the developmental strides of the current administration in the state.
