Ogoja/Yala By-Election: PDP To Set Up Fact Finding Committee Over Attack On Members

Cross River State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned in totality the “unwholesome act of bickering and infighting witnessed amongst some party faithfuls during the Ogoja/Yala by-election” primary.
The PDP in a press statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Prince Mike Ojisi, sympathised with victims of the “bizarre act,” describing it as “uncharacteristic”.
The umbrella party vowed to investigate the act while continuing to crusade for peace, unity and oneness among members.
“Following the incident, the leadership of the party has resolved to set up a committee to thoroughly investigate the immediate and remote causes of the unwholesome acts and punish perpetrators in accordance with the provisions of our party constitution,” Prince Mike said in the statement.
The party maintained that, as a party, it will continue to preach and encourage unity, peace, oneness and fairness to all and sundry, recalling their committment to founding ideals that separate the party from the rest of the competition.
