Mechanic Apprentice Commits Suicide In PH
A young man simply identified as Sunday Orime has allegedly committed suicide in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The 21-year-old Orime,a car mechanic apprentice, who resides in Mile 3 axis of Diobu in Port Harcourt metropolis of Rivers State, and hailed from Ebonyi State, had allegedly committed suicide at his residence at No 27, Wobo Street, Mile 3, Diobu, Port Harcourt, over the weekend.
However, the cause of the suicide is yet to be ascertained.
Speaking to journalists, the Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu-Oroworukwo community, Comrade Godstime Ihunwo, said he received a distress call from residents of the compound at about 8pm on that fateful night about the development.
Ihunwo said he quickly rushed to the compound, and informed the police, adding that the corpse of the deceased has already been deposited in the mortuary.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, DSP Grace Iringe-Koko promised to revert on the details of the incident, later.
