The Deputy Controller of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) in charge of Degema Local Government Area, D. C. Baranaye Spiff, has sought for collaboration with the leadership of the local government in areas that require support.
Spiff disclosed this recently when he paid a familiarisation visit to the Chairman of the local government, Hon. Michael John Williams at the Council Secretariat in Degema.
Spiff, who recently assumed duty in the local government area as head of the custodial facility, stated that the essence of the visit was to familiarise himself with the council boss and seek areas of support and collaboration.
Among the areas of collaboration, he appealed to the council chairman to assist in the provision of electricity, provision of computer systems, purchase of indoor recreational facilities for inmates, and giving facelift to the Correctional Centre.
In his response, the Council Chairman, congratulated him on his recent posting to the area, and assured that his administration would continue to support the agency.
He further assured that “the same level of support and cooperation that was given to the former Controller would be extended to you.
“The requests put before the council will equally be looked into and addressed accordingly,” the coucil boss assured.
