Be Grateful To God For Abundant Resources, Clergy Charges Nigerians
The founder and senior pastor of Royal House of Grace International Church, Apostle David Zilly Aggrey, has charged Nigerians to be grateful to God for the abundant mineral deposits He has endowed Nigeria with.
He said time has come when Nigerians should begin to show gratitude to God for what He has blessed this country with, and move forward in development, rather than focusing on what divides the country.
Aggrey, who disclosed this while speaking to aviation correspondents at the Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa, shortly before his departure to Abuja, in reaction to this year’s Yuletide season and its challenges, noted that Nigeria as a nation has come a long way, and is one country that has enjoyed the grace and mercy of God.
“Nigeria is a country that is endowed with incredible human resources, and so blessed with natural resources, both minerals and gases.
“In fact, as at today, by satellite image reports, it is rare in Nigeria to find any place where there is no natural resources, and so we should be grateful to God, and we have come a long way.
“For us as a people, we should be grateful to Almighty God for his blessings and focus on what will make Nigeria one, and not on what divides us”, he said.
He also advices Nigerians to begin to see each other as brothers and sisters, noting that it would be difficult for anyone to hurt who he or she sees as brother or sister.
“Yes our languages might not be the same, but if you trace our origin, you will find that we all came from Adam, and Eve”, Aggrey stated.
On the coming 2023 polls, Aggrey who is the South-South Zonal chairyman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), urged INEC not to be partial, and also called on the candidates that will win to see others that lost as colleagues, and not indulge in “winner takes all”.
Aggrey frowned at the idea of leaders punishing those that did not vote for them, saying is inhuman.
He urged those that will lose to take it in good faith, knowing that there will be another day, noting that “a four years tenure has just 208 weeks.”
