The birthing kits, which include essential items such as clothing, cotton wool and gloves, reflected the club’s longstanding commitment to maternal and child health.
The kits were distributed to pregnant women in targeted areas, with plans to continue similar outreach in other localities
The club’s humanitarian gesture also included immunisation and malaria testing to further support maternal and newborn health.
President of the club, Rotarian Felicia Barber, speaking at the event, highlighted Rotary’s dedication to humanitarian causes and clarified that the organisation relies solely on contributions from its members, without borrowing funds.
