Ogoni Sim Vanguard Endorses Yobana For Oct 5 LG Polls …Raises The Alarm Over Plot To Hijack Structures
The Ogoni Sim Vanguard (OSV), Khana chapter, has called the attention of the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, to the activities of detractors and naysayers in Khana Local Government Area, whose interests are not in consonant with the Peoples First mantra of the governor.
The Acting Coordinator of Ogoni Sim Vanguard (OSV), Khana chapter, Comrade Deele Akpobari Bob, and 19 Ward coordinators in the area, raised the alarm, according to a statement signed by Khana Media Team, yesterday.
OSV alleged that mischief makers, in their bid to control the resources of Khana Local Government Area, had resorted to sectionalism as a smokescreen to conceal their ungodly plot to hijack SIMplified structure in Khana.
The movement commended the recent efforts of the CTC Chairman, Hon. (Amb.) Marvin Yobana, in making the scarce resources and appointments evenly distributed across the wards and villages in the local government area.
It, therefore, declared its support for the Yobana-led CTC government for the growth and development of Khana LGA, adding that his leadership will lead to an uncommon transformation of the area in the next few years.
OSV said, “While no part of Khana has been foreclosed to aspiring for the chairmanship position, we frown at the bitterness and destabilizing antics conveyed in the activities of these few individuals who have equally sponsored anti-government protests and diatribes.
“Recall that the rather scarce development of Khana has been one-sided in the past few years. We, therefore, commend the recent effort of the current CTC Chairman, Hon. (Amb.) Marvin Yobana, in making it widespread as seen in his leadership style in Khana where his projects and initiatives are not one-sided; even his appointments/empowerment are evenly distributed across the wards and villages.
“We are confident that given enough time, the trajectory of the current leadership of Khana Local Government Council would lead to an uncommon transformation of Khana and by extension multiply the SIMplified followership in tens of folds.
“We, therefore, declare our unflinching support for the Marvin Yobana-led CTC government for the growth and development of Khana LGA. We hope to continue to see him at the helms of affairs at Council in the next few years.
“We also call on all well-meaning individuals and patriots from Khana to give their unwavering support to the leadership of His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara in the State and Amb. Marvin Yobana in the LGA.”
