MOSIEND Applauds Olu Of Warri Over Peace In Itsekiri
The Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) says the three years reign of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse lll, has brought peace and development to the land and people of Itsekiri, Edo State.
National President of MOSIEND, Amb. Kennedy Tonjo West, made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt during the 3rd year anniversary of the young king.
The statement described Ogiame as a visionary leader who has made significant impact in the lives of his people, saying that the people of Itsekiri have never reached such magnificent miles in terms of human capital development, peace, progress and respect for the throne.
According to the MOSIEND President, Ogiame has ruled his people with much wisdom, strength and courage, and repositioning his people to the extent that people of other ethnic nationalities are happy to identify with Itsekiris worldwide.
He said more than ever before, there is a robust peaceful coexistence among the Itsekiris and their brothers, one that will not be broken in a thousand years to come.
The President said MOSIEND is happy with the way and manner Ogiame has been able to pilot the affairs of the throne with such charisma and power to the extent that more people are beginning to have high regards for traditional institutions, a culture which was almost lost and forgotten in the past.
West prayed God to grant the Monarch more strength and wisdom, courage and good health to pilot the affairs of his people.
